On 17 October 2025 the Burgas Congress Centre once again brought together the leading visionaries of digital Bulgaria. The third edition of Burgas Digital was held under the motto “Compute the Future” and presented the latest trends in artificial intelligence, innovation and digital transformation.
The event was organised by DIGIHUB, Burgas Municipality, Sofia Tech Park, ARC Fund, Vivacom and AIBEST, and attracted representatives of business, public institutions and academia from across the country.
A vision for the future
In his welcome address, Petko Georgiev, Chairman of the Board of DIGIHUB and ICT Cluster Burgas, outlined the strategic role of Burgas as a model for regional digital transformation:
Burgas no longer simply follows trends – we create them. With every new project and every successful collaboration between business, academia and institutions, the city is establishing itself as a national centre for artificial intelligence and digital innovation.
Programme highlights
Burgas Digital 2025 featured four panels dedicated to national innovation policies, practical applications of AI in industry, ecosystems for new technologies and entrepreneurship.
Among the guests and participants were Martin Danovski (Ministry of Innovation and Growth), Zornitsa Rusinova (Economic and Social Council), Ruslan Stefanov (ARC Consulting), Natalia Georgieva (AIBEST), Prof. Simeon Stoyanov (Discoverer), Andon Simeonov (SoftServe) and Mihail Iliev (Sofia Tech Park).
DIGIHUB presented its new laboratory complex – a centre for testing, experimentation and training in AI, IoT and industrial automation.
The EU co-funded project 5GEDGE4HEALTH, which introduces 5G technologies and telemedicine for children’s healthcare in the region, also attracted particular interest – an example of how innovation can genuinely improve quality of life.
Regional energy, national scale
The conference proved that Burgas is already an integral part of Europe’s digital map.
The combination of vision, technological capacity and public support places the region at the forefront of the modern economy.
