60 students trained in IT specialties at the two Burgas universities will be financially supported by the Municipality of Burgas. This proposal of the mayor Dimitar Nikolov received the approval of the local parliament.

“As a responsible local authority, we are obliged to meet the expectations of the businesses and to support the training of competitive specialists for the modern conditions of today, thus increasing the chance of Burgas to be chosen as a place for investment. Practice shows that the attraction of big companies in this field is directly influenced by the existence of developed university specialties, providing the necessary staff resources”, motivates Nikolov’s decision.

“Supporting this report will create conditions for a good base and sustainable IT business in Burgas. I believe that Burgas can meet the high requirements of the business. The end result – an intellectual product, good pay, clean nature and opportunity for young people to remain in the city.”, stated the municipal councilor Petko Georgiev.

He recalled that Bulgaria is at the TOP of the International Rankings for the Most Attractive IT Sourcing Destinations and Burgas recently won the “Outsourcing City with the Highest Development Potential” award.
